I hate disguising myself as me.
I mix up smiles and laughter together with my heart,
and then I rub it all over my face.
Behind the curtain is where the real drama unfolds,
that's where the action goes down,
all the sorrow and frowns,
Almost time for the show!
Do I look ready to play my role?
even though my character feels so out of place.
The audience loves the act,
I also enjoy it while it happens.
Then the curtains close in,
flashback.
Flashback to before the performance,
behind the curtain I'm so certain,
I know what the next play will be in advance.
